INCREASE PAGE RANK GOOGLE
Google Page rank is based on back links. Back links are Links pointing to your website from another website. The more back links you have the higher your PR will be.
1. Join forums, forums are a great way to achieve links to your website. In most forums you are allowed to have a signature and in your signature you can put a link to your website. But another important note to look on is making sure the forum is somewhat related to your website. You will still get credit if it's not, but if it's related to your website than you will be accomplishing two tasks at once.

CIRCUIT CITY BANKRUPT
One more US giant has been forced to follow the path of Lehman Brothers. This company is Circuit City. It is an American dealer and retailer in brand-name consumer electronics, personal computers, and entertainment software. It is a Fortune 500 company which operates over 600 superstores in different parts of USA. On November 3, 2008 it was revealed that Circuit City would close 155 stores and lay off 17% of its workforce by the end of the year as a result of continually struggling to remain profitable. After 4 days, on November 7th this company laid off more than 500 corporate employees from their Richmond, Virginia headquarters. Now the company’s shares have collapsed to historical low of 25 cents.
But all these measures could not make it profitable. Finally today Circuit City has filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy. Actually in USA, bankruptcy protection is a popular legal mechanism which allows a troubled company to keep its creditors at bay while it draws up a new business plan, which has to be approved by a bankruptcy judge. This method gives the bankrupt company some time to sort out their problems, cut costs and prevent it becoming completely decimal. Moreover, according to latest Washington’s Labor Department’s official report around 6.5 per cent of the US workforce is now jobless. The situation of American economy is very critical. Now how new president Obama will handle all these troubles will be a matter of concern for the whole world

google launch tunes for youtube
Finally Google is going to introduce one good way to monetize YouTube, the world’s number one video website. Now you will find a type of e-commerce ad that we can click to buy digital goods from Apple’s iTunes or Amazon.com. Actually there will be a click-to-buy links to its popular YouTube video-sharing service, letting customers purchase songs and games. That link will take users to online stores such as Apple’s iTunes or Amazon.com. At present this service is available in US only. In order to gain more money from YouTube Google has also future plans to inserts text and image ads inside youtube videos.
The official Google blog said “We’re getting started by embedding iTunes and Amazon.com links on videos from companies like EMI Music, and providing Amazon.com product links to the newly-released video game Spore(TM) on videos from Electronic Arts.”

Facebook Co-Founder Moskovitz to Leave?
It would appear that one of the co-founders of facebook; Dustin Moskovitz is leaving facebook. It looks like he is leaving to start another company with Justin Rosenstein who is currently a Facebook engineer. Facebook has not officially confirmed this at this time; but we have seen a note that does in fact support this.
Dustin is the VP of Engineering at Facebook. He has put out some amazing products during his tenure at facebook including the iPhone app for Blackberry. Most people don’t know him because he has never really been front and center publicly. As facebook matures and evolves it is not surprising that some really smart people from the early days of facebook would move on to start their own ventures. He can certainly afford to do so. He does have a killer idea to be leaving facebook: to build an extensible enterprise productivity suite, along with a high-level open-source software development toolkit, built for the Web from the ground up.
In this August 2007 interview with Podtech.net he discusses the future of Facebook, their desire to remain an independent company, their strategy for building out their platform, expanding to other demographics, and how Facebook helps people to increase their “social capital.”
A note from Justin Rosenstien confirms that they are leaving facebook in about a month:
“So we’ve decided to leave Facebook (in about a month) and start a new company, to build an extensible enterprise productivity suite, along with a high-level open-source software development toolkit, built for the Web from the ground up.
We see this new venture as very complimentary to Facebook. We hope our products will become to your work life what Facebook.com is to your social life. Our software will use Facebook Connect as the default option for identity and authentication. Our user interface will adopt many of Facebook’s conventions, creating a seamless and familiar experience for current Facebook users. And if our new development tools turn out to be useful, we hope the Facebook engineering team will come to adopt them.
Leaving Facebook makes me sad, but I feel I have to follow my passion on this. I can’t say enough about Facebook and the friends I’ve made here, and I am enormously excited for the company’s further success, a destiny I’m confident it will reach regardless of my participation in it.”
I wish them well in their new venture and suspect it will be quite interesting since it will be leveraging facebook connect.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) and Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) agreed to delay their advertising sales partnership while the Justice Department reviews the deal. The news may look like a retreat by Google, but it undermines one of the key reasons Yahoo! gave for staying independent from Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT). Google was going to improve Yahoo!'s revenue.
It looks like there is some chance the partnership will not happen at all. That would justify the fact that Yahoo!'s stock is down by more than half from its 52-week high. Yahoo! indicated that the wait might be short. "The companies have agreed to a brief delay in implementing this agreement to continue our ongoing discussions with the (U.S.) Department of Justice," Yahoo! said in a statement. "We have had discussions with regulators and look forward to responding to their questions about this agreement."
The trouble is that Justice can take its own time. It's under no pressure to give an answer in short order. The news also begs the question of whether the two companies will wait for antitrust reviews in the EU and Canada.
Each day that passes without Yahoo! having a sales relationship in place with Google is a day its earnings do not recover.

First, we had Microsoft Cash Back where Microsoft paid you to search the web with live.com. Now, we have Search Perks where Microsoft pays you to search the web with live.com ... well, almost.
The difference between Search Perks and Cash Back are minimal, but the idea behind the new creation is that you get points for every search. Those accumulate and then you can win prizes.
You're limited to IE6 or higher to participate, so Firefox users are not eligible. That's because SearchPerks has a built in toolbar.
It's questionable, though, if this is a good business plan for Microsoft. To me, it sounds like something that can be easily exploited. One forum member says the following to echo that sentiment:
If people are doing pointless searches and meanwhile clicking on ads to max out their "tickets", I can't see it being a good deal for anyone in the long run.

It has been a hot topic for a while now, yet many domineers aren't overly active in the SEO space. Yet.
Domaining is when you register a domain, or buy a domain on the seondary market, with the intention of deriving traffic, and turning that traffic into revenue. Traffic comes from type in traffic. i.e. people type a keyword into the address bar and add .com on the end. Domains can be valuable internet real estate, because, unlike a search engine, there is no middleman between you and the visitor. A lucrative pursuit, if you choose the right names.
Let's take a look at how domineering strategy can be applied to SEO.

How To Select A Domain Name
Google tends to give weight to keywords in the domain name. This increases the importance of selecting a good name.
When choosing a domain name for SEO purposes, there are three main factors to consider:
Brand
Rankability
Linkability
Brand
Should you use hyphenated, multi-term domain like search-engine-marketing-services.com?
I'd avoid such names like the plague.
Why?
They have no branding value. They have limited SEO value. Even if you do manage to get such a domain top ten, you're probably going to need to sell on the first visit, as few people are going to remember it once they leave. It is too generic, and it lacks credibility.
In a crowded market, brand offers a point of distinction.
It is easier to build links to branded domain names. People take these name more seriously that keyword-keyword-keyword-keyword.com, which looks spammy and isn't fooling anyone. Would you link to such a name? By doing so, it devalues your own content .
It can even difficult to get such domain names linked to when you pay for the privilege! Directory editors often reject these names on sight, because such names are often associated with low-quality content. Imagine how many free links you might be losing by choosing such a name.
Is there a downside to using branded names?
Yes.
Unless you have a huge marketing budget, no one is going to search for perseefgxcbtrfy.com, which is a new killer, brand I just made up ;)
Thankfully, there is a happy medium between brand and SEO strategy.
Rankability
SEOs release the value of keywords. When naming your site, and deciding on a domain name, try combining the lessons of SEO, branding and domaining.
Genric + term is a good approach to use. Take your chosen keyword, and simply add another word on the end. SeoBook, Travelocity, FlightsCity, CarHub, etc. These words have SEO value built into them, because people are forced to use your keywords in the link. Also, Google (currently) values a keyword within the domain name for ranking purposes. Finally, such a name retains an element of unique branding.
These types of domain names score high on the rank-ability and link-ability meter. They are generic enough to rank well for the keyword term, yet contain just enough branding difference to be memorable.
The SEO Advantage
There is another advantage for SEOs in the domain space.
Dot com's can sell for 5-20 times as much as a .org or .net. Keyword + .com can sell for millions of dollars, depending on the domain name.
Expensive, huh.
But...
By registering or buying the cheaper .net or .org equivilent, building out the site, and ranking well for the keyword + net, or +org, you increase the value of the domain name markedly. Sure, you're one step away from pure domaineering and you still have Google to contend with, but you'll be head and shoulders above those who are undervaluing these names.
A lot of domaineers aren't operating in this space.
Yet.
Other Tips And Ideas
Leave The Keyword Out Entirely
Used the related search function on Google ~ + keyword and see if any of the related keyword terms fit. This can be a good strategy to use if all the good generic keyword names are gone. It might get you close enough to the action, without the enormous price tag. Might be more memorable, too.
How To Test A Domain Name For Penalties Before Buying It
Verify the site is not blocking GoogleBot in their robots.txt file
Point a link at the domain from a trusted site and see if Google indexes it
Within a couple weeks (at most a month) Google should list the site when you search for it in Google using site:domainname.com

google losing ground due to chrome
One month after a much-hyped jump into the business of browsers, Google's Chrome hasn't quite set the world on fire. Chrome's market share has already begun to decline from the 1 percent it sponged during week one down to its current 0.78 percent.
Microsoft's Internet Explorer and Mozilla's Firefox both saw declines in market share nearly parallel with Chrome's current status. The total loss between the two companies is 0.90 points. This means the other browsers out there--including Apple Safari and Opera--are gaining momentum, likely driven by mobile phone browser usage.
Pair this news with some of the negative reviews Chrome received at the start, along with its security flaws and unimpressive performance, and the battlefield is set for some interesting Internet fisticuffs.
Also, according to Silicon.com's latest CIO Jury poll, 10 out of 12 IT teams are not testing Chrome as a companywide browser solution. This decision rests mainly on the predominance of Microsoft products in the business world--a tall hurdle for any competitor to leap.
I'm betting that as more companies manufacture Google OS-based mobile phones, a Chrome mobile browser (and hopefully one for the Mac) will see the light--Google may find another niche in the market and gain in popularity. And it's always fair to remember that Chrome is but one month old: More time and various beta rebuilds are needed before this race can be called.

No matter how hard some people try to mystify SEO, it is not as complicated as many would lead you to believe. Despite all the techno jargon that many in the field will throw at you: SERPs, SEM, PageRank, Keyword Density, Vertical Search, Algorithms... SEO is really simple to do if you understand some basic concepts and follow some easy steps.
Search Engine Optimization is getting your content listed in all the top positions in Google, Yahoo and MSN for your targeted keywords. When someone does a keyword search in a search engine for your particular subject or niche - you want your site or content to be at the top of the líst.
Here are 10 SEO tactics that have worked and are working for me at this moment in time.
1. Quality Content is and always will be your number one factor for getting high rankings and keeping them. You must understand search engines are simply businesses that supply a product like any other company. That product is information. They must provide quality results to anyone using their service to solve a problem, answer a question or to buy a product. The more relevant, the more targeted the search solution they return, the higher the overall quality of their product and the more popular their search engine will become. Providing quality content is vital for SEO success.
2. Keywords are your number one tools for achieving high rankings. You must understand keywords and how they work on the web. You must know how many searches are made each day for your chosen keywords. Sites like Wordtracker and Seobook will give you a rudimentary number of searches. Design your pages around your targeted keywords and don't forget to do some deep-linking to these pages on your site. Find and build backlinks to these interior keyword pages and not just to your home page or domain URL. Picking keywords with medium to low competition has worked out well for me. So too has using the more targeted and higher converting "long-tail" keywords been very beneficial for me.
3. Onpage Factors and site design will play a major role in the spidering and indexing of your site/content. Make sure all your pages are SEO friendly, make sure all your pages can be reached from your homepage and no pages should be more than three levels away from it - keeping a sitemap listing of all your major pages makes the search engines happy. Make sure you have all your meta tags such as title, description, keywords... optimized (Title = around 65 characters, Description = around 160 characters).
Remember, your title and description should be keyword targeted and are the first contact/impression anyone will have of your site - make sure you use them to draw and entice interested visitors to your site and content. Also make sure your title and URL are keyword matched for maximum effect. Having your major keyword in your Domain Name also helps, using a pike | to separate different elements of your title has helped my rankings, so too does having your keyword in the first and last 25 words on your pages.
4. Google will send you the most qualified traffic so concentrate the majority of your SEO efforts on Google. Don't ignore Yahoo! or MSN but Google is king of search so give it the respect it deserves. With its new browser, Google's influence will only grow stronger so you must optimize your pages for Google. Use Google's Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics to fine-tune your pages/content. I also use Google Alerts to keep up on my niche keywords and for comment link-building on the newly created pages Google is indexing.
5. Link Building is still the most effective way to boost your search rankings. Make sure you get backlinks from relevant sites related to your niche market and make sure the 'anchor text' is related to your keywords but don't ignore the text and overall quality of the content linking to you. The anchor text is the underlined/clickable portion of a link. Don't forget linking is a two-way street, make sure you link out to high quality, high ranked relevant sites in your niche.
6. Article Marketing is a well established method of getting quality backlinks and it still works. Writing short 500 - 700 word informative helpful articles with your backlinks in the resource box is still very effective for getting targeted traffíc and backlinks. Longer articles have also worked for me and I use an extensive network of distribution, including SubmitYourArticle, Isnare, Thephantomwriters... plus other major online sites. Don't forget the whole element of blogging and RSS feeds in your article distribution. And always remember you're also using these articles to pre-sell your content or products. Don't forget to leverage sites like Squidoo, Hubpages... to improve your rankings and traffic.
7. Onsite Traffic Hubs have worked extremely well for me. These traffic hubs are whole sections of your site devoted to one sub-division of your major theme. For example, if you have a site on Gifts, then wedding gifts could be a separate section. This would be fully fleshed out with extensive pages covering everything dealing with wedding gifts - a self-contained keyword rich portion of your site on wedding gifts. Works similar as a sub-domain, but I prefer using a directory to divide it up, such as yourdomain/wedding_gifts. (Most experts suggest always using a hyphen in your urls, but underscores have worked fine for me.) Search engines love these keyword/content rich hubs but keep in mind you're creating content to first satisfy your visitors.
8. WordPress blog software is extremely effective for SEO purposes. WordPress software is easy to install on your site even if you haven't any knowledge of installing server-side scripts. Besides, search engines love these highly SEO friendly blogs with their well structured content and keyword tagging. I have at least one of these on all my sites to draw in the search engines and get my content indexed and ranked. I also use Blogger (owned by Google), Bloglines and other free blogs to help distribute my content.
9. Social Bookmark/Media Sites are becoming very important on the web. These include a whole range of social sites like MySpace, FaceBook, Twitter... media news sites like Digg, SlashDot, Technorati... you must get your content into this whole mix if you want to take full SEO advantage of Web 2.0 sites. You should be joining these sites and using them. It's time consuming, but it will keep you in the swing of things. One simple thing you must do is to put social bookmark buttons on all your pages so that your visitors can easily bookmark your content for you. You can use a WordPress plug-in. I like using the simple free site/service from Addthis.com which gives me a simple button to put on all my content.
10. Masterplan! Many webmasters and site owners forget to develop or have an overall masterplan/strategy when it comes to SEO. You must have an understanding of what SEO is and what it can do for you and your site. More importantly, you just don't want SEO - you want effective SEO. In order to achieve effective SEO you must have three things: Relevance, Authority and Conversions.
First, your content/site must be relevant to the topic or niche area you're pursuing - your content must fit in and be related to all the other sites in your niche. That's why closely themed sites do so well in the search engines. They give only relevant content to what's been searched for or discussed.
Second, your content/site must be perceived as an authority site on your subject or niche. Establish this authority position and the search engines will love you and your content. One way to develop this authority, besides offering superior content, is to form links/partnerships with other perceived authority sites in your field. Always strive to make your site an authority site - tops in your niche - the one site everyone has to check before drawing or forming a conclusion.
Third, conversions should be your main goal of any SEO efforts because you want to convert your targeted traffíc into site members, subscribers, buyers or just repeat visitors. If you're into online marketíng, conversions will be the most important element of the whole SEO process because you want buyers, not just visitors coming to your site.
Most of all, you must convince yourself Search Engine Optimization is not difficult, nor is it the equivalent of the online bogeyman as many would like you to believe.
