National Institute of Technology Raipur is a technical institute of national importance in the region conducting various courses of UG & PG level in engineering and technology, MCA & M.Tech. in Applied Geology.
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the following faculty positions.

Qualifications:


(a) Engineering & Technology Disciplines (S.No. 1-6)
Essential: First Class Master’s Degree in engineering / technology in the
related branch with First Class at Bachelor’s Level.
Desirable: Ph.D. holders will get preference.




Civil:


Rock Mechanics, Geotechnical, Hydrology, Surveying,
Geoinformatics, Photogrametry, Water Resources
Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Fluid Mechanics,
Traffic Engineering, Soil Engineering, GIS – Remote
Sensing Engineering, Construction Planning and Project
Management.






Mechanical:


Machine Design, CAD-CAM, Production Engineering,
Industrial Engineering, Thermal Engineering.


Electrical:


High Voltage, Instrumentation, Electrical Machines,
Machines & Drives, Computer Technology.


App.Mech.:
Machine Design, Structure, Applied Mechanics, Fluid
Mechanics.


(b) Architecture (S.No. 7)
Essential: First Class Master’s Degree in Architecture with First Class at
Bachelor’s Level.
Desirable: Ph.D. holders will get preference.
(c) Applied Geology (S.No. 8)
Essential: First Class M.Tech. Degree in Applied Geology or First Class
Master’s Degree in Applied Geology with Ph.D. or First Class M.Sc. in
Geology with M.Phil/PG Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS /
Engineering Geology / Mining Geology / Geochemistry / Geophysics /
Geo–hydrology / Exploration Geology and with Ph.D.
Desirable: Ph.D. holders will get preference.
(d) MCA (S.No. 9)
Essential: First Class Degree in MCA or M.Tech. in Computer Science
& Engineering.
Desirable: Ph.D. holders will get preference.
(e) Assistant Workshop Superintendent (S.No. 10)
Essential: First Class Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering /
Industrial & Production Engineering with First Class at Bachelor’s Level.
Desirable: Ph.D. holders will get preference.
(f) Programmer (S.No. 11)
Essential: First Class Master’s Degree in Computer Science &
Engineering / Information Technology or First Class Master’s Degree in
MCA.
Pay Scale:
(a) Rs. 8000-275-13500 (Total Gross amount Rs. 17,000/-
approximately).
(b) At least two increments guaranteed for M.Tech. degree
holders and four increments for Ph.D. degree holders.
Higher starting to the deserving candidates with
superior academic record or research experience in
reputed institutions.


HOW TO APPLY:

1. Applications in the prescribed format downloaded from the website
(www.nitrr.ac.in) should be submitted along with attested copies of
testimonials with a registration fee of Rs. 200/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST
candidates) by Demand Draft / Pay Order in favour of Director,
National Institute of Technology, Raipur payable at Raipur.
2. Illegible applications, not conforming with the prescribed application
format and contrary to the instructions given herein will be summarily
rejected. Applications received after due date may be considered at the
discretion of Chairman of the Selection Committee.
3. Candidates desirous of applying for more than one post should submit
separate application form along with registration fee for each post.
4. Last date for submission of application form is Saturday, 22nd
November 2008. Application should be sent essentially by Speed Post /
Registered Post only.
5. The Candidate should send their application in an envelope superscribing
clearly “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF
_________________________________________ BRANCH /
DISCIPLINE _______________________” to The Registrar, National
Institute of Technology, G.E. Road, Raipur – 492 010 (CG).
NOTE:
1. The candidates who have applied earlier need not apply
again. However, such candidates are advised to submit the
documents relating to up-gradation in their bio-data
regarding educational qualification, experience etc., which
they have acquired after sending the previous application.
2. Central Government Rules will be adhered to regarding
reservation.
3. Physically handicapped candidates must enclose the certificate of their
physical disability issued by competent authority.
4. The institution reserves the right to change the number and nature of the
post or cancel the programme of recruitment to any post or all posts
without any prior notice and without assigning any reason thereof.
5. Merely applying for the post does not mean qualifying for interview. The
institution reserves the right to call the candidates for interview based on
merit.
6. Age of superannuation will be 65 years subject to any modification under
Government of India order.
7. Canvassing in any manner at any stage would lead to Summary rejection
of application of candidature.
8. RIGHT TO RESTRICT: Where the number of applicants for a post is
extraordinarily high, then the Institute has absolute right to restrict the
number of applicants by fixing higher qualifications / shortlisting as yard
stick granting eligibility for the Interview / Test.
9. Any change made in the provision by BOG of NIT Raipur / MHRD,
Government of India / any other competent authority will be considered
deemed to be effective on the clauses of this advertisement.
10. The Institute reserves the right to offer appointment either in regular
position or on contractual basis.
11. Max. Age Limit is 40 Years.
